Privacy policy

Effective 2 October 2026 · applies to lockd for Mac and lockd for iPhone

lockd itself collects no personal data. The apps have no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing you do in them is sent to us. The one request that reaches our servers is the Mac app's check for updates; on iPhone, lockd+ purchases are checked by RevenueCat under an anonymous ID (see Purchases).

What stays on your device

Your settings, sound mixes, chosen rooms and focus and sleep timers are stored on your device only, along with a copy of your lockd+ status. The iPhone widgets and Live Activities read the same on-device storage, shared between the app and its widgets through an App Group. None of it leaves your device.

Music and Audius

Music is streamed from the Audius API. When a station plays, your device requests tracks directly from Audius, so Audius receives the usual technical information of a network request, such as your IP address. lockd does not receive or relay it. What Audius does with it is described in the Audius privacy policy. The ambient sounds are bundled in the app and need no network.

Updates

The Mac app checks for updates (automatically about once a day, or when you ask) by downloading an update feed from dl.poordevs.com, lockd's download server. Like any web request, it carries technical details such as your IP address, the app's version and your macOS version; they are used only to serve the update. Nothing about how you use lockd is included. The iPhone app is updated by the App Store and makes no such request.

Purchases

On iPhone, lockd+ subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple, under your Apple Account. On Mac, the one-time purchase is handled by Polar. Payment details go to Apple or Polar and never reach lockd; we do not see your card, and the apps contain no payment forms of their own. Apple's and Polar's own policies cover what they collect.

On iPhone, RevenueCat processes your App Store purchase receipts on our behalf to confirm that lockd+ is active and to restore it on another device. It receives your purchase history for lockd+ (which plan, when it was bought and renews, refunds) and a random anonymous ID that the app creates on first launch, along with the technical details of any network request such as your IP address. The ID is not tied to your name, email or Apple Account, and nothing is used for advertising or tracking. What RevenueCat does with this data is described in the RevenueCat privacy policy.

Notifications

The iPhone app's notifications, such as the end of a focus phase, are local: your device schedules and shows them. lockd runs no notification server and holds no push tokens.

This website

lockd.poordevs.com uses a privacy-friendly page analytics service (Hitglance) to count visits. The apps contain no such thing.

Children

lockd collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
